My old high school went so far as to say that people couldn't wear all black because it "denotes involvement with a gang or satanic group", and this is a PUBLIC high school...and guys aren't allowed to spike their hair there. Blahblahblahhh...basically, no shirt, no shoes, no service. No inappropriate amounts of bare skin. Hats and headgear are no nos unless you're in the hallway, coats should be in lockers (not that anyone listens because they freeze us to fucking death) gang "colors' or associated clothing are prohibited. No clothes showing profane/vulgar/othernaughty crap.
...they're usually pretty leniant..except for this one time the kid who I think is an idiot wore a shirt that say's "simon says you suck' on it..and they made him cover suck with a piece of duct tape.
