The Kiss
Evening's chill is kept at bay
As swept in sleeper's sheets
He lay aslumber, his cares away
And deepest dreams he greets
Not a sound but running river
Cricking crickets perform
Not a chance that he might shiver
For in his rest, he's warm
The slightest rustle of green blades
The tiniest turn of shielding tent
As she enters hidden, within shades
Creeping to an overbearing descent
Staring soft, she watches him
As he lies in slumber deep
Ne'er had she seen such a thing
That she would want to keep
Leaning in, her heart beats fast
Unlike herself, she felt tonight
Though no spell had e'er been cast
She could not forget the sight
Her heart a captive of this man
She leaned closer for a kiss
Over his sleeping lips hers ran
Never had she felt like this
Eyes opened slowly, as he awoke
She sprang back from the elf
Gone was she, before he even spoke
Before he even knew himself
What had occurred this fateful eve?
Was it something much more new?
Something that he could not percieve
An emotion that he had never knew
She sat alone, staring out
Unto the river's run
Her heart full of hope and doubt
Until arose the sun

That was absolutely perfect, baby. Thank you so much. *huggles him tight*
I've tried to come with visuals on how they first met, and you did it perfectly in poem. ^__^

Wow. Usually in stories like this, it's the guy who finds the girl. Having it the other way around was a nice twist. ^^
