The Hunchback of Notre Dame has been my favorite Disney animated film since it was released in '96. Being the vile fangirl I am, I created a whole host of fan-characters, as one would - and on a recent kick, decided to draw one of them after years of collecting dust. Meet Celeste.
I tried something a little different with the colors - actually bothering to use the airbrush. The colors are actually somewhat BLENDED for once, as opposed to my usual hard-edged cell-style colors. I kind of like it.

Holy crap, I thought I was entirely alone in love for that movie, since most people seem to dislike it as it deviated highly from the book.
ANYWAY. I really enjoy the composition of this piece - the downcast eyes in the full-body and the chin-up portrait contrast. :3 Her design is unique and interesting, particularly the patchwork and the way the red and purple compliment each other. Lovely anatomy, too!
