I was doodling Shade and decided to draw Rein next to him. I have lost touch in drawing little kids since I've moved out of my
Ojamajo Doremi drawing phase so that is why they look older than they're supposed to. I love how Rein's pose came out, especially the hand. Shade came out the other way; he came out looking all blah. I swear, I always make guys look effeminate and whatnot. Why is it I can draw 5-year-old little boys and 50-year-old men, and yet I cannot draw teenaged boys?
The little outer coat for Rein was originally solid, but I thought I should make it transparent. I had to go in and draw the rest of her arm/dress/hair to make it like that.

I think it's really cute, though I'm not quite sure what the age-problem is. .__.; I fail at telling ages, and I don't watch alot of anime nowadays, anyways...

The girl, Rein, is 8 years old in the anime and the original concept from BIRTHDAY. There is no official age for the boy (Shade) but it is assumed that he is 10-12 years old, more or less.

I really love the shading on your recent works; very breathtaking indeed. The backgrounds, especially for this pic, are equally stunning. I am hopelessly drooling over the cuteness of their expressions, and the girl's hair in particular was very well done.
Definitely worth a fave for the sheer cuteness of it

I don't see much wrong with Shade, he looks pretty great! Rein looks very beautiful too, I like her hair and face the most. I don't know much shoujo anime except for Cardcaptor Sakura and Ojamajo Doremi, but still... This is sweet, cute, and addicting at the same time! Meh wuvvles the expressions the most, nice prtrayal. Me will favorite.

Shade is pretty hot in that pic as well.
