Wonderland Lost

Sweet little girl named Alice,

Who lived in a glass palace.

She never liked to come,

Unless it was to sit and pout.

“Come play” sang the blue birds of May,

But Alice only shooed them away.

For she did not want to play,

She only wanted to stay.

“Poor little Alice” whispered the ghosts of old,

Beneath the flower petals made of gold.

A once innocent heart was now nothing more then evil malice.

Poor, Poor little Alice.

The Red Queen was gone,

And the Rabbit was just a pawn.

For in Alice’s world cold,

You get more then a simple scold.

The teacups were all broken,

Just as the Mad Hatters life was taken.

The Cheshire Cat disappeared from sight,

As the happy life vanished from the light.

Alice could never leave for she lost the looking-glass key,

In the last disappearing cup of honey tea.

Twiddle Dee and Twiddle Dumb vanished into thin air,

For no one was there to care.

All Alice’s playmates were gone,

And so Alice sat alone forever upon the glass lawn.

Wonderland now was nothing more then a dreamlike image of its former glory,

Just like an old and broken story.
