I've seen one episode of FMA, it was the one with the 'Other' Elric Brothers, I loved it. I loved the style and the insults to Ed. Great writing and concept.
Also this picture is very out of character for Ed, which makes it even more intriguing.
Personally, I think this in in character for Ed, he's probablly very moopey when he's by himself. That's when he needs to tell himself to move the most.
