Why the HELL isn't there a textiles gallery over here? Yes, I made this here hat.
Hours Taken: On and off, 3 days.
Materials: Black, grey, and light blue fleece, and four broken needles D:
Inspiration: Genki Hats and malytwotails
On Thanksgiving, I just got the random idea to try to make my own hat. Just, outta the blue. This took me a DAMN long time to do, especially since I had to keep remaking it since this or that just wouldn't work. I completely scrapped two half done hats, plus some other things that were going to be added. It's not perfect, but I think I did a damn fine job considering that this was my first time making a hat. Let's just say, I know what NOT to do next time.
I'm also afraid to wash it... if it fell apart, I think I'd cry.
On the right ear flap is a little skull hand-sewn on with blue fleece, and the other side is a blue heart. The eyes are blue, and the nose and inside of the ears are grey. The ears are a tad floppy since they're so big, and the right ear tends to fall backwards. Probably could have been fixed with wireform, but I couldn't find any of mine, and I was afraid of how it would wash if I added it. Sorry for the not-so-great photos. This was FUNFUNFUN to make (when I wasn't stabbing myself or having to fix the damn sewing machine EVERY 10 MINUTES).
I have a crackhead stare, I know.
The large hairy thing behind me would be my boyfriend.
