For starters, I appologize that the image is abit dark...wasn't enough light, tho' I thought there was and a flash would wash everything out and its hard to correct that in Photoshop...so, here she is. FINALLY completed. Yes, I started this back in...ummm, August/September time frame...
My vision of the Dark Fairy Queen...
Done on 300lbs. Lanaquerelle watercolor paper (cold press I believe), 3/4 done in all watercolor & or watercolor pencil, some white ink (!!! its something new for me to try!), gouache, acryllic, black ink & pastel pencils + time (I lost track of the hours invested...over 30hrs)
...watch it, she might run off with your turkey...

That is incredible. You remind me a little of Nene Thomas. Perhaps it's because you know how to make your subjects really stand out and not be overwhelmed by backgrounds. The background enhances insteads of overwhelms. You have a great sense of balance and a super eye for detail.
