This is also legitimate texture practice, which is to say no airbrushing or very smooth surfaces allowed.
My sand always ends up looking like jaguar-print carpet.

What 3D programs do you use? I have Turbo CAD, but I would like to have every version of every type of Auto CAD program. That may take awhile and a lot of money though.

Ah, whenever I pixel stuff, I do it in Oekaki programs like paint. The tools are more suited for pixelling because the gimp and Photoshop focus more on blending and shit, which is a big problem for pixelling.
