So I Herd U Like Lamassu

I'm doing this project for art history class on the Lamassu, this mythological Mesopotamian creature with a man's head on a winged lion's body, and I'm having trouble finding informations on them. D: Damn, damn, damn, damn, I say. I read one thing where the lamassu are actually female things, and another where they're not called lamassu at all, and they think the Jewish word Kerub came from this other name for lamassu, which is Karab, and that evolved into Cherub. And I'm like...whut? Cherub? Lamassu? D| Kat no entiende!
