Metal Gear Solid 4: Wheels Of The Patriots

Finally. Its done. This easily took me over 10 hours all up to complete. Doesn't look good enough for 10 + hours work, right? Right. I made this as I want to learn Photoshop better, and also I was hoping for it to get in a Aussie PS2 mag. So why exactly did it take so long for me to make? Well I was starting it out in the Demo version of Coral Painter IX. I did Snake's head and most of his body in this program. However, it was stressing me that I couldn't figure out how to do so many simple things on the program, so I saved it as a .jpeg (the only option it allowed me to save it as), then imported it into Photoshop.

I then started colouring in the rest of Snake. Now because I am really bad with Photoshop 7; I don't know how to get the line tool that I want (One where lines can connect to each other and stay in the same layer) and make good vector art in PS; also I don't really understand how to use the circle tool properly (such as making the outline bigger/thicker).

So I saved it as a .png and imported it into Flash 8. I then opened it up and drew the basic wheelchair frame with the line tool around Snake, then exported it again, opened up PS7, and coloured the chair in. *deep breath* Then I drew the basic wheelchair frame with the line tool around Snakeshaded and coloured in the soldier</a> getting run over, exported it as a .png, imported it back into Flash 8, made titles and the speech bubble (I did this because I don't know how to scale anything in PS7) and then imported it back into PS; where I did final touch ups. Then I exported it as a .png

If you can't tell, that's a shitload of exporting; and as a result, the image looks pretty pixelated/too blurry; but I am happy with it. If you are wondering why I put the title right in the center of the image; it was to cover up part of the wheelchair so that the untrained eye didn't knotice Snake isn't sitting properly on the wheelchair

I worked very hard on this, and am happy with the result. I'd really appreciate comments; I'll try and respond to any since i'm sick and arn't doing much because of it. How great does MGS4: Guns Of The Patriots look though? I thourght that the MGS series was ending after MGS3; thank God there's another one being made! I'm sure the story will be just as great as always, and given the fact that the cut-scenes look better than perfect, and the gameplay looks to be interesting, it should be the best MGS yet. I wonder if there will be CQC in it?
