Wolf Pup 02

This is supposed to be a sequel to the "Wolf Pup Finished" piece. This thing has been a work in progress for FOREVER. It's finally DONE.

So, here goes. The background sucks, but it took five minutes to do and was just green and that grass-y brush in Adobe. It's silly, but it's a background, which is more than you get for 99% of all my artwork. It's green like the original. The big differences between the two are the eye color and the technique. The first one was when I was still in my blotchy painting stage, and lately I'm more for a furry fluffier effect. (As I hope you can see.)

The biggest downfalls with this one were that the ears are too dark, and the inner ear is way, way, way too pink. I covered the paws because I can't draw toes very well unless it's a side view. Also, there's no tail, and you can't see the other leg, which are total anatomy problems. The muzzle seems too diamond-ish, but the sketch was that way, and you can still kind of see THAT, which is also a drawback.

I love, love, LOVE the lighting, though. Mmmhmm.

References are the same as the first, though changed up a bit and a giant book called "WOLVES" was used as a color reference and muzzle reference. That's the dealio.
