Angry Predalien

This picture actually took quite some time to finish and two ink pens were sent to the River Styx in the process. A raging predalien tends to defend the egg chambers quite thouroughly ; Ultimately a Predator's worst nightmare. I really like how the chitin looks on this fellow, I added in the hive structure as a backround but went with a red hue, ultimately I tried to pack a maximum amount of detail into the picture. Media used: Pen, ink, solvent, brush tips, acrylic paints, water colour, colour pencil and charcoal all on a 9 by 12 piece of bristol.
