At any given point of time there are 15 million refugees in the world - people who have to cross national boundaries because of prosecution/torture on account of their race, gender, etc.
Plus there are about 20 million people called Internally Displaced Persons who stay within the national boundaries but have had to leave their domicile out of fear.

This painting is about them.

oil on canvas, 32"X25"

Seems like a losing situation no matter which way you go. The picture makes it feel a little desolate. Perhaps the hardships they must go through as well. I like the brilliant color of red. It's a fiery color to walk on like that, but it's fitting.

This is a great provocative image. I love how you use a combination of the relistic and the sureal. There's a nice balance to this piece aswell, I actually like how the bright red disrupts that.

I like how you show the refugees, and how you show their way across the borders.. makes me very thoughtful.
