"Some said they would see her jumping from cloud to cloud in the storms, and it was the weight of her paws upon them that would bring down the bright bolt born from them. Seldom did the stories tell of the violet twilights when she would be seen running through the trees and charge toward the great cliff that she would rest upon. The oldest of the Elders once said that just before she plummeted from its birth, she would look back and into the very souls of those that looked upon her, and smile, and whisper of a Great Leap and a Sacred Belief, and then leap off the edge and out of sight. Those whose heads were not bowed to her would whisper of hearing a great hum like the course of angels. One old wolf once told of his curiosity and how it led him to that edge after she leapt, and his words told of a great pair of wings breathing like electricity itself from her sides, and she could be seen running atop the water, wingtips touching waters surface just so, and its ripples would reach the shores, giving all the purest waters to drink."
