Birthdays are really fun, no matter what people say about aging. You can get all giddy about presents, eat a lot of things that you normally wouldn't, do silly things, have fun - every birthday in itself is like a present to your inner child. This picture was drawn as a present for my mom on her birthday, Oct 13. 85 pages of homework reading were sacrificed to make time for this drawing - sorry, Aristotle, family first!

Awww, I agree about birthdays! I also believe in revering age...which sadly is something we don't see in Western culture anymore.
The one critique I have is, something seems strange about the hair...not sure what. I love the rest of it, though!
