Black Backed Jackal

Wow...I'm really inventive with titles, huh? Anyway...another old one. This is the last of the oldies to be uploaded though; all other stuff from now on ought to be new.

But yea...I like the idea for this one, and in the end it didn't turn out too bad. I kinda hate the splash under his hind paws now...at the time I wasn't happy, but also wasn't good enough to fix it so decided to just leave it alone. I'm not even sure I'd be able to do it now, that kinda thing is pretty tricky...for me, anyway. As for the rest of it...well the background is possibly one of the laziest ever, but the picture didn't really need more than that. Don't ask what those floating pink things are...just pretend it works. The Jackal himself is ok...his fur kinda looks soaked, though perhaps not as obviously as I would have like...his anatomy is a little off, but I don't know if you can even see that. His reflection turned out okay-ish too. Personally I don't like it all that much...but other people seem too, and I don't know why.

I knew a black backed jackal pup called Kai...he was cool; he was skittish as hell and used to hide from the public all day (this was at a zoo), but he'd come up and lick my hand through the mesh when I called to him. I miss Kai...
