Snoopy (c) Charles M. Schulz

Here are samples of how I've been tackling the Snoopy question.

Option #1

I could design an older Snoopy but limit his antics. The Snoopy we all know and love works under Mr. Schulz's design but if I was to do stuff with him...I would probably keep his actions within the confines of your average dog and bring his personality/attitude about in other ways.

Option #2

Not Snoopy himself but his character continues on through his off-spring. Whoever the mother is ...is another story. Heck. Under "Anthro-laws" it would be a real shake-up if he had them with the "cat next door" or Frieda's old cat, Faron but I don't think anyone is gonna let that slide.

In my vision, "Prince" represents Snoopy's professionalism, confidence and affinity for doing most things very well. (i.e. Masked Marvel, etc.)

Penelope (I think that was the name of one of Snoopy's old girlfriends. The poodle from "Snoopy's getting married, Charlie Brown) represents the general good heart that Snoopy has. The Snoopy that helps Woodstock and occassionally does something for Charlie Brown. (Like remembering that he has a round head.)

Blockhead. Come on! That word is as iconic to the Peanuts universe as anything! :) He represents the part of Snoopy that shows teeth. The Snoopy that grabs Linus's blanket and drags him, the Snoopy that kicks the door for dinner, the Snoopy that will get into a fight. The Snoopy that take s#*t from nobody. :)

The Burning Donut Says:

My fave is the "Older snoopy" allthough you really don't have to emphisize his age!

You really don't need to limit his activity in that body style iether I mean look at MY fursona!

Or All dogs Go to Heven!

Kuceman Says:

Nice job!

Starpac Says:

!

Ronald MacK Says:

Both ideas work really well, but I personally have to go with the older snoopy. If all of the older characters are maturing, no reason he can't. Sure, he'll be a fairly old beagle... but that doesn't mean he can't be a bit spry.

colley Says:

But which one would fight the Red Baron? :)

Furball Says:

Haha! I LOVE how you drew Snoopy! He looks so gruff now. And Blockhead. xD

HealingBlight Says:

All except Blockhead. :)
