Eye Coloring Tutorial

Some people have been asking me how I do my eyes so here it is!

Eyes:
1. Make an outline layar just for eyes.
2. Draw your eye design. Everyone has thier own style, these are some different types I like to use.

Color Eyes:
3. Create a layar underneath the outline layar. Title it color.
4. Pick a basic color you want your eye to be, and color it all in.
5. Then, click on "Preserve Transparency"
6. Pick a color a few shades darker than the one you used to color the eye.
7. Fill in the top part of eye, the pupil, and lightly brush the bottom of the eye.
8. Using the dodge tool, adjust the size till its about as big as 1/3 of the eye width, and exposure about 25%.
9. Then, highlight the bottom half of the eye in a smily pattern, around the pupil.
10. Repeat the above step a few more time, each time, making your dodge brush a bit smaller.

Glare (white patches):
11. Make another layer caled glare. Using white, make the "light" hit the eye where you want it to. (I have a tendency to blob on the right, and streak once on the left). Then "preserve Transparency".
12. Then, with a tinge of light blue (I use R:255 G:255 B:240), go around the white parts.

Eye Whites:
13. Now to color the eye whites, make a new layer under the color, and glare layer, and call it white.
14. Color around the eye white, from eyelash to eyelash. Preserve Transparency.
15. Using only a tinge of gray, underline the eyelashes, for shadows. ( I know this part is a bit confusing, but just look at the eyes)

Eyebrows:
16. Finally, to color the eye brows, pick the color to match your hair and color in.
Volia! You have your eye!
