'Tis Broken

It's an unpolished gem,
Dull, yet beautiful,
Someone came and broke it,
Thinking it's just a mere stone,
But when the broken pieces and glassy were put in light,
There is a pearly luster and sheen,
A glow of etheral rarity,
But 'tis broken, 'tis broken...
The smith, the owner,
Placed it on fur,
Frowned and wept,
Because 'tis broken.
