I saw a shirt at a local shop that said "I love hentai" and had a really crappy drawing of a cat-girl on it. So, I decided to do my own and do hentai a little justice.
No offense meant, but come on... Hentai? There are so many better uses for the cartoon artform. This is a good drawing, but don't limit yourself to lowest common denominator. Think BIG!
A few things; if you read the comment about the drawing, you know that the image was a response to a poorly drawn image on a shirt I saw at a shop. Next; this image is the 2nd highest grossing image at my shop http://www.cafepress.com/coshadowside . Finally, I truly enjoy hentai, and I'll be damned if I am going to let anyone censor me or even tell me what is or is not appropriate. I mean, c'mon; beautiful artwork with a high level of technical and professional quality is less so because of subject matter? Art is art, my friend; all in the eye of the beholder. I appreciate your comment, but it is people like you who tell people that "hentai", or other low-brow artforms, are somehow less valid than other work based purely on subject matter who would freak out if they were told they HAD to look at hentai! You like what you like, allow others the same privilege.
