Dancing On An Empty Constellation

it's hard to explain
in words without boredom
the essential warmth
the stars -

The stars! -

Shine for me Polaris,
show me the freckles in the eyes,
the rise and fall of chests
and ears
and sandy hair
that fingers travel through unthinking;

Shine through the window
And let the wind blow fan blades crazy,
I am Still
watching the breathing of two twisted figures,
blind as bats and twice so silent.

A poem from the Muse who shall not be named because it's too cliche if I do.
