I actually learned how to draw these types of wings by drawing Disney's Gargoyles a long time ago

And also, a little helpful tip when you're learning how to draw these types of wings: use an umbrella :) It can really give you a feel of how you can construct the wings, the angles and how the "membranes" go when the wing is stretched, or relaxed.
As with all my tutorials, just because I draw it this way, it doesn't mean it's the right way, or the only way...but it's the way I do it, and I hope it helps out :)
