Morgana Le Fey, my version of her. I never associated her as being the "evil" one/half-sister/downfall of Camelot (nope! Marguase and Guinevere helped out quite enough there...)I related to her as the healer, the soceress, the student and lover of Merlin, shape-changer, of fairy-blood/magic (her name roughly means "water fairy") and priestess of Avalon. But, with any of the Arthurian legends, its anyones' guess as to what is real and truth to what version you're reading.
Done in pastel pencils (Faber-Castell & CarbOthello) on Atragain tinted papers. Done in 2.5 - 3 hours tops.
I ought to add, this is the first time in a very LONGtime that I've done pastels...like high school. And that was several Ice Ages, aeons and moons ago ...
