Ever know something like the back of your hand? Well, this hand might hold much more than you'd expect.
This actually stated many months ago, but I stopped halfway because it didn't feel quite right yet. Based on that idea of knowing something like the back of your hand, I traced my own left one on paper with a pencil and started on it. From the thumb, to the fingers, then the middle part. Eventually it got a life of its own and started to express who and what I am, if partly, almost like palmistry. Just today, I got back into the groove a day after laser eye surgery and finished it down to the wrist.
The centre-like thingy is the same place where I have a real birthmark.
The forefinger holds the faces of my previous loves-of-life. The end of it is me. Yes, I know, mostly kitties.
The rest you'll have to figure out. I just like to mention the first two off-the-bat.
Sketched with HB and 2B pencils, inked with a 0.2 pigment ink pen. Also used a red gel pen, with red and black Sharpies for the bigger blotting parts. Finally, some post-production in PhotoShop to remove paper-grain and correct the colours the scanner warped.
Thanks for looking. :)
