Dorothy ('Thy) and the Scarecrow (Crow) in an embrace. I like how his hair turned out. I couldn't resist making a story to go with this:

Dorothy searched for him everywhere, but to no avail. No one had seen him since the previous night. With a defeated and miserable sigh, she headed back to the bus. And there she found him, putting his toothbrush into his pocket as she came in. He didn't look up. His suitcase, a weathered carpet bag, sat packed on the bed... their bed. She watched him from the doorway as he went through the desk one last time, making sure he had everything. Finally he spoke.
"I'm leaving my violin. I figure you'll need it for whatever replacement you find. And there are some extra cough drops in the drawer there for you. You don't take good enough care of your voice, 'Thy, and seeing as I won't be here to remind you to..."
"Stop, just...shut up... just stop with the caring regretful crap, Crow... I know you want to leave. You can't wait to be rid of us..." Dorothy looked down, she didn't want to meet his eyes, didn't want him to see the pain there. "To be rid of me..." she whispered, barely above a breath.
"'Thy... are... are you ok?" the worry in his voice cut like a knife.
"I'm fine... Just fine... I... just wanted to say goodbye and....and... Good riddens!!!" she rushed out of the room and down out of the bus. She couldn't stand his tender caring right now. Why couldn't he just not care... why... Why had she said what she had said... it was her fault... he was as good as gone... her soul mate, her everything...
Suddenly she was caught by a pair of long, lanky arms. And then he was holding her, hugging her close to him. He smelled comforting. Like straw and clove gum and bow rosin and clean cotton.
"I'm sorry...." She whimpered, the tears that had threatened before welling in her eyes, dribbling down to make salt stains on the front of his jacket.
"You have nothing to be sorry for, love. Its not your fault. You... didn't know what you were saying. You didn't mean it."
"Please, don't go...don't leave me all alone..."
"You wouldn't be alone... you would have the others..."
"I know that... but you... are my home..."
After that they clung to each other for a long time, neither wanting to end the embrace. Then they went back in and unpacked his bag.
(frank baume created the original oz characters, i just perverted them to my own evil means)
