I got this idea in my head, and often is my art followng my writings. It's mostly innustrations of scenes and such.
To explain what the picture is about I'll post a part from my story.

Credits to TWOSPOTZ that came up with some ideas for this scene when my brain went trough a "blue screen" while writing this part I really blame my flu for it.

-The scene is still raw and unedited. I don't really like to post my writings since they are mostly a bunch of raw unedited texts, so bare with me!!!

The headmaster of the school where Athena works have explained that he espect her to attend a forman party wearing a dress. Now, Athena is that kind of girl that is not so fond of parties and wearing dresses. Infact she don't even OWN a dress, so she calls a friend of her that is a stylist and an expert of this kind of things to get some help.

**************************************** *****
Athena searched trough her cell phone for Lindsay's number.
"Lindsay Wember"
"It's Athena, I need your help!"
"My help?"
"Yes, they are going to have this....formal..... thing and I am demanded to wear a dress."
It got quiet on the other end.
"Don't you dare to laugh..." Athena continued.
"I am not, I am just stunned, you]/i] of all people need a dress.... And is asking me for help... Oh - this is going to be SO fun! When do you need it? "Lindsay spoke fast and with a voice that showed that she indeed was excited about this.
"Next Saturday"
It got quiet for a few seconds again.
"Okay, we do like this, you and I are going to London this Saturday, and then we have a week's start. What's your budget?"
Budget? Athena thought, I need a bloody dress....
"I dunno, whatever.....are you happy if I say unlimited?"
"Yes, this is going to be so FUN!" Lindsay said with pure excitement.
"Whatever" Athena moaned, still not the slightest amused by this.

Lindsay was mildly put excited, indeed. It seemed she couldn't find words as she was running about in the shop. She knew what she was after and it was without any doubt a lucky thing that Athena had her with her. With the slight built and narrow shoulders, the miracle would be to cover up certain areas of the red-haired woman's anatomy. Lindsay had frowned considerably as Athena had quietly pointed out certain areas she had to keep hidden. Her lower arms, shoulder, and lower back. Lindsay knew why the young woman wanted to hide those areas and she had been trying her best to find out a design that matched Athena's wishes. But there was one thing Athena wanted to show off as much as possible: her tribal neck tattoo. It was both intricate and fascinating and Lindsay's reaction to it was a high pitched squeak that made Athena shiver. The tattoo covered most of the area between the woman's shoulder blades, neck and shoulders.

And where else to shop for a dress then in London. By now the stylist had taken her form one to shop to another. But this stop seemed to be the one she had been after. It was frankly nothing more then a shoebox in the Soho area, just about five minutes form Covent Garden. Athena had been pushed down on an old black wooden chair with a stuffed seat. Now she was quietly nursing a small bottle of Diet IrnBru and was silently cursing herself for doing this. Athena took another sip again and sloshed the fruity orange fizzy drink around. She was not fond of this, she hated shopping and was more than happy that Lindsay was with her. Still Athena didn't like the idea of going to a formal party, at least wearing a dress.
"BINGO!" proclaimed Lindsay. With a dramatic flair she whirled around, holding a padded coat hanger with a dress on it. The shopkeeper, a slim man in his mid 40's, clapped his hands and his neatly trimmed beard parted to show a wide grin. The grey eyes shone like Lindsey's as they both bore down on Athena. With a hiss of sheer terror Athena found herself in the back of the shop, getting carefully stripped by Lindsay without as much as a "help?" to be heard.
"This darling is just going on once here so I can see how it fits..." Lindsay more or less dropped the dress over Athena's narrow shoulders. The pale silky green dress flowed down over her body as if it was made for her from the start. The cool fabric slithered around her bony waist and hips like a snake out of the Forbidden Grove, whispering seductively to her. Athena glanced at a full length mirror, almost jumping up with surprise. It fitted. It did. I t honestly friggin fitted her! Who could ever have imagined?
"It.. fits me. " she pouted and eyed herself. The pale spring green dress sported a scooped and draped line both front and back. The straps were delicately sewn with a small pattern and the straight but flattering style suited her. The hem was cut diagonally, obscuring her bad leg beautifully in just the right length. Lindsay was just staring at her, hands clasped across her mouth. "Oh..." was all she managed to pipe up as she suddenly hugged Athena, in dress and all!
"It can't be true..." Athena whispered, looking at the figure in the mirror again. "It's.....it's... perfect"

Now the art...
Aquarelle
roughly 11"x16" / 30x42 cm.
I am not really so fond of the outcome of some parts on this one.
but it was fun to do,
And yes may my scanner die a slow painful DEATH for slaughter all my artwork. Not even editing with scanner settings OR Photoshop helps.
