idols - willy wonka.

the first of my "idols" series, should no doubt be my first idol, willy wonka.

i guess i should explain why i idolize him, shouldn't i? well, in my head willy wonka has always signified the forbiddon and unknown and denied. in my head, he's easily comparable to a drug dealer or a pimp. the mistique surrounding wonka also always fascinated me. and i always thought it was quite cool how he would use simple childich metaphors and complicated language to purposefully confuse others, a tradition i continue to this day. so, as with most of my other idols, i not so much think of him as a role model so much as i am influenced by him.

oh, and by the way, the new movie of charlie and the chocolate factory kicks serious ass.

oh, and to those of you who think it's stupid to idolize a fictional character: fuck you.
