The Ademar Family Portrait

Ladies and gentlemen, the Ademar Royalty: his majesty Emperor Rhogen von Ademar, and his son, Prince Auron von Ademar.

These characters have been in my head for over two years now, but only just recently have their designs been completed. Where all the other characters of The Chronicles of Ademar have evolved and changed in design throughout the different stages of planning, these characters have remained "in theory," despite the fact that they are the title characters! I finally got off my butt and finished them, since I'll be starting production of the first pages of the book next week.

Finished in ink wash & watercolors. Not counting the week of preliminary sketches and page upon page of concept designs, this piece took about 3 hours to complete.
