Commission for Arcane Pheonix over at dA, who asked me to design her dragon/gargoyle hybrid for her. :)
Done with prismacolor markers, and my scanner fucked it up somewhat. It's a lot brighter in real life, and you can see some of the shading better.

ShadowsLord Says:
WOW that sick, nice detail....
spottedhyenae Says:
quick question: When you work with prisma's, is there anything you do to prevent the markers from bleeding? Or do you just use a pretty high quality paper with them?
When I worked with prismas on bristol, the detail I was trying to capture got messed up as my colors bled throughought the piece.
Synchronized Chaos Says:
wow, I love the detail and i have another prisma marker related question: for your shading, do you use other reds/oranges/etc (like on this particular image) or do you use greys? Which greys?
Unstableicedragon Says:
Your stuff with markers are always just as awsome when you do things on computer, i'm to scared to try markers and what not. Love her pose and its the first time I've seen you do another female in a long while
Crystalline Says:
I like it. Not much to say.
NotBlythe Says:
Wow, your marker coloring is amazing, the shading is very impressive. I especially like how you drew her wings and the spines on her arms and brows.

Magz~! I'm on SA, too.
;; I just don't come here that much anymore. *nods*
I've been thinking about her design a lot, but I could never come up with a good idea...but you really brought her to life! Her name's Nina. *nod* I have her entire background set up, too...but I won't explain that here unless you want me to.

Once again, I can't wait to get this in the mail!
Anyways, thanks again for the awesome art!
