My 6th watercolor :).
This is for my dad for Father's Day...I asked him what he wanted, and he said, "A jay!" So, I remembered the beautiful Steller's Jay...found some ref. pics...and painted n___n. I love how the pink clouds came out
. I'm really really happy with this!!
I used masking fluid for the first time (for the clouds) and IT HELPS SO MUCH
.
I used my technique of using white acrylic paint for hilghlights--it really works well :). Ah, what a pretty jay the Steller's is......
Tools used: watercolors, micron pen, and white acrylic paint
Time taken: 8 hr or so
