This is Ssith, my vietnamese blue beauty (Elaphe taeniura ssp.) snake. She's just a baby and has a lot of growing left to do. Blue beauties are part of a group known as 'old world ratsnakes', one which includes (in my opinion!) some of the most beautiful snakes in the world, including the amazing red mountain ratsnake . This is my first colubrid and I'm very excited to have her. :)

shes beautiful! how do you photograph your snakes so well?? Mine always come out blurry no matter what the lighting, setting on the camera, or the movment or me or the snake.... HOW DOOO YOU DO IT?!?! Love the pic!
