A Scarred Soul

This is by far the best background that I have ever done. As well as the most time consuming and involving. Best mock screenshot too.

For those of you who need a description to actually explain a picture (and because I feel like rambling on and on), this is Bakura's soul(/mind/heart) room as I believe that it would most likely be like. It took me a while of thinking to really figure out what is most likely to represent someone insane like Bakura, and a crumbling sand-covered path littered with ruins suspended amidst tainted darkness leading off to where there might be light but there is simply more darkness just seemed most fitting. The scars and blood I imagine are self-explanatory. There is a lot of symbolism in here and I don't know if I should explain it all and ruin the fun of having everyone try and dive into the depths of Bakura's psyche.

Bakura himself was added in there after I finished the background, which is a first since normally I do a picture first then make an appropriate background, so pardon me if this picture has a different feel than my other ones.

Done for the :iconEgyptian-Thieves: contest. I really should stop getting into so many but when I saw a couple of the entries weren't really doing Bakura or Malik justice in really digging deep into their psyches to figure out what their soul room might look like and what everything in their represented, I just knew that I had to do a picture of what I feel would likely be in Bakura's head.

Also, I'd like to note that I believe that a soul/heart room reflects a person's heart while the image of themselves represent their mind, thus how they can travel through out their own room (that and translations give some wiggle room to determine what the exact definition is). As such Bakura is represented how his self-image might be when taking Zork into consideration, plus many other factors.

Please excuse the fact that there are more copyrights on this picture than all of my previous ones. The reason why I'm doing this with my pictures now is due to a lot of rumors going around about pictures being deleted for insufficient notification of copyrights I am taking measures out on all my pictures from here on out. I might even go back and edit my old ones, but hopefully it won't have to come to that.

Pardon my going on and on, but a lengthy description fits for a picture that took a lengthy amount of time IMHO. Considering how long this took me, it's sort of ironic that I managed to complete it just in time for my birthday. :milk: :cake: :party: :heart:
