Rise of Le Clan du Accifeluvoc: Start of Chapter One

I have started to work on my book. I do need my friend’s help though. You see I have it all up here *taps head* but I am stuck with a great opening. I mean here are some of the examples I know right off the top of my head.

I’ll put what I have so far. Maybe you all can help me with a great opening. I want to keep the use of thunder and lighting though. Any and all Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all ahead of time.


The gentle darkness of the Ubel Kingdom was shattered, by the sound of thunder. Lighting was hitting all around the kingdom and starting small fires. A high pitched shrill shattered the peacefulness of the castle walls. Lady Enid had gone into labor. Her trusted advisor and friend Marlon came running into her chambers.

“My lady, the prophecy is coming true. As we speak Ubel and Nukpana are coming this way to take the children. Once they are born I shall get them away from here and send them to protected -

“They are coming Marlon, please help me. I know you will protect them and I have full and utmost trust in you. They are to be named Weylin and Disa. That is what the old mystic told me to name them both. I want you to take Disa to my Sister Adela and her husband Dmitri. She will be safe in their kingdom. As for Weylin you, I trust will find a place.” She spoke between the labor pains.

- It will be taken care of Enid. They will forever be safe from Ubel, until the time is right.” He finished.

The first child to be born was Weylin. He was small and would be like a dog’s runt of the litter. Marlon took him into his arms and held him. The young princes fit perfectly into one arm at his size. He opened his eyes and the first thing that anyone could notice was his eyes. The left one was a deep blue, and the right was a deep green. They seemed to mesmerize anyone who looked at him. Marlon could from just that, Weylin would be a gentle but furious soul to be reckoned with. Less then two minutes later, Disa came into the world. She came in screaming with her full little lungs. She was about one and half sizes longer then Weylin. She was a normal baby’s length and weight. She bears the marking of the Great Shamans from the ancient times. Marlon took them to see their mother for what may be the first and last time ever. She gently kissed and hugged each, then bid Marlon to leave. He went to the window with Ester, Lady Enid’s servant. Marlon turned into his animal spirit, the great Hawk. Ester placed the babies in the basket on his back. He took flight and headed to the places to hide them. Ubel and Nukpana were rushing through the castle. They knew that with that shrill the children had come to life. They hustled through the corridors to get to the chamber. They were to late, though Marlon had gotten the children away.

I want word sent out Nukpana that those children must die. I will reward whomever brings me their heads as proof. I will not see the prophecy come to past. I will rule these lands for a thousand years and then some. As for you my so called wife, you will remain in here until you die. Marlon will not be allowed to live for his treason.
