Arkaina Contest - "Fated"

And here, after some couple of hours staring at a moniter and clicking, I present to you: "Fated." It's for Arkaina's wed novel contest that I did more for fun then anything.

In the picture it show Matt and Sonja lying on a marble floor, both hold a symbol of death. The Gun is pretty obvious, but white lilies are presented at funerals (there also my favourite flower. ) I though the idea of the picture in relation with the story worked on many levels. I don't want to explain all of them because it will ruin it for the people who havn't read the story.

Anywho, about the picture: I wanted to try a new colouring and (manga) drawing style for this one, and see what I come up with. I think it's pretty snazzy, I mean, 5 + hours infront of a computer? Something good has to come out of it.
I also wanted to make the picture more sketchy, so I left my lines un-inked. I think that's what I did wrong though, it made cleaning up splotches take forEEEver. Oh yes, Matt and Sonja (for the most part) were drawn from memory. Arkaina gave me a ref for Matt's front profile.

What else? Hmm, I learned.... stuff. Critizem is more then welcome, however I know the gun is poo.
