Wow... The great white space gives a great feeling of loneliness, maybe sadness as well? How did you do the tiny little dot effect on the little boy and the bear? (I don't know their names >_<)
The loneliness in this piece is really powerful. I like the texture on Mr. Bear. And Gaara, too.
And regarding your comment about CG screentone - The company which makes opencanvas actually makes a program which only does screentone, which is supposed to be even better for it than OC. I don't think it has an english version, unfortunately. "Deleter COMICWORKS", it was called, with a digital lookalike of every tone they manufacture.
