Background: Dan was the "Shadow" prototype before the Biolizard. Caught as a baby, he was given Chaos energy by Prof. Gerald Robotnik. After a failed test, he was given to Maria Robotnik as a gift. He and Shadow were both sent to earth after the military's raid on ARK. Dan was kept frozen for 50 years inside his vessel deep in a jungle.
