Midnight run through Brooklynd

This is an art class asseignment. We're learning how to use India inks, an I'm the only one in class who's never used them before, so bear with me lol. This was a picture I got in my head right after I finished my World History SOL, I had about an hour left before class was over so I drew the sketch in my sketch book. And on wednsday, my art teacher told us to pick out a picture from our sketchbooks to trace and ink, and this was the one I chose lol. I think it truned out better than I thought it would have. My teacher says that I have a gift for this....I don't know if I believe her though. she was going around the class critisizing everyones work, and when I was working on this, she stop and asked to see it, and showed it to the class saying "This child here, has THE gift" and I'm thinking, WHAT THE HECK?!? A LOT of people in my class are doing better stuff than this... so I'm still a little :confussed:
