I've always loved fish, just never had the money to seriously invest in them or a place good enough to keep the cat away from them. But, now I've broken down and bought a couple of Betta's for me. And yes, I know they are fighting fish and yes I know they can't be together. But, the tank I bought is small and has a divider. Now they can share the water but not kill each other. There is a dark blue panel that prevents them from seeing each other. However, said panel has four slits at the bottom, apparently just right for eye to eye contact. I caught the two of them posturing and snapped this shot.

LOL!
You so evil! Actually, we once had a couple of these fighting fish as well. Have you ever seen them actually fight, though? It's cray-zee!!

Actually in their native enviroment siamese fighter fish (as we call them over her in Aus) live out their entire lives in puddles during the asian wet season ^^ So they actually quite enjoy being in an enclosed space. I love siamese fighters. they're beautiful fish.
Theyre quite happy as they are just so long as theyre kept in a fairly warm place (because they're a tropical fish)

Gorgeous fish, but they do need a bigger tank.
It's so cute when you get them one, mine swam a little then froze, then realized that they could swim further and started doing laps
I had a male and female, so not so much fighting provided that the female had hidey holes to escape to.
I keep trying to find a grene betta, they seem to be rare.
My male was a gorgeous blue with red fins, I thought he was unusual.
MidnightZeroDarkdemo Says:
I have never seen a blue and gren one. Only red and orange colord ones.
Theese two are beautiful ^^

Pretty! It looks like the one on the right may be a super delta, which is a type of fin type. not something you normally see in pet stores.
