Yes, antlion. Not dragonfly, as many people think. The entire Flygon line is based on antlions.
Oh well, this had set for too long on my desk, and it had to be some sort of trade/challenge between me and
AnnaJ: to make a more "realistic" version of Flygon, without seeing the artwork made by the other one, and to see the differences then. Oh well, mine didn't come out as I expected: specially the wings, I completely forgot I originally wanted to make them hybrid between dragon and insect. I only noticed when it was too late... Oh well.
The background sucks, I might change it later (it seems too dark too).

Edit: fixed the wings, and changed the background (which is edited from a Pokémon anime screenshot)

haven't thought they're based on antlions, but it's more doubtful to see a dragonfly in flygon. however, that semi-realistic morph is awesomely done. i looked at her art, i kept glaring how people can make them look possible, it's just awesome - as you brought flygon here.

It looks so intimidating and just all around wicked rad.
I might consider putting a Furaigon on my team if they looked like that
Heh, I always thought it was some weird fly. I suck so hardcore.

E' spaventosamente brutto, ma è per questo che è bello, anche se mi fa schifo, ma è godibile e piacevole da guardare nonostante mi venga un po' di schifo.
Uhm... tutto chiaro?

I always wondered why the first evolution looked so ant-like
