The first wait

The first wait

He waits on a bench in the cold and silent lobby of the airport. he checks his watch as he flexes his furred paw into a fist and then lays both of them on his trembling legs and whispers partially to himself, but out loud "His plan was supposed to be here 30 minutes ago...I really hope nothing has gone wrong, everyday i've waited for this during these 2 years...I-I just want him to be ok, to see his smile...but i can't help but think something happened."
He gets up and walks around the exit of the terminal near the baggage claim as he looks around the desolate area, only hearing his nervous breath and the high mechanical whirr of the idling machinery in the walls.
He quickly checks his watch again and mumbles to himself, "45 minutes..." He falls limply on a bench near where he stands and lays his head in his paws as he holds his muzzle closed through a sigh "god...i don't know what i'll do if something happened to him...I don't know how i would live, or if i COULD." he jumped slightly at his last word as he felt a new touch on his tail bedise him, the scream turning to a deep growl as he lifts his muzzle and turns to face the unknown stranger holding his tail hostage "WHy you stupid little..."
"Stupid little what my love?" He says sweetly as his grey-blue eyes meet up with the enseared waiter.
His jaw drops open as he stares into the eyes of the one he had been waiting for for so long. his eyes begin to tear as he goes limp, wrapping his arms around his mate, laying his muzzle into the soft fur of his shoulder, "Not stupid, but wonderful, safe, and perfect."
he brings his arms around the softly crying form and lays his paws on the wolf's back, holding him softly as he whispers in his ears. "shhh...no need to cry, I'm here, I'm safe, there is no need to soil your beautiful face, or cloud your perfect eyes, with those tears that have no need."
The wolf sniffs hard and looks deep into the otter's eyes and studders in his speech, "I-I'm j-just so happy, to finally be with you. Waiting so long to see you here with me. I-I can't hold back the joy...only through these tears do i show it."
He looks into the wolf's eyes and gently brings his paw to his scaley cheek, wiping the lagging tears from the fur and speaks, his words calm and constant, "I have waiting since i met you, since i fell in love with you, for this moment to finally come to be. My greatest dream has become reality, i am with you finally, i am close to you, to feel your touch, i love you...so very much."
The wolf's eyes tear up as he looks into the otter's soft eyes as he speaks weakly, "I-I love you...more than anything."
"As i love you, more than life itself, I am here, now, and with you, my angel, in my heaven on earth, finally arrived, the place i am with you my love, the one i wished to hold."
The blushes blushes heavily as he brings his muzzle to his mate's and closes his eyes, forever staring into his eyes until darkness replaces his vision...
