Dragon love - I lick you

"The others mock me."

The random statement held such sadness that the longer dragon almost felt forced to look at the smaller blue hued one, however, instead his head remain over his large claws, "Does that bother you?" his voice was soft, soothing, the way a parent would talk to it's hatchling, "It really shouldn't..." still no answer came from the lithe dragon, whose golden eyes remain downcast, looking at his reflection in the pale waters of the river.

Minutes passed and still silence lingered about both creatures, till suddenly the smaller of the two raised his gaze, "Do you think I'm weird? They say I don't belong here... because we are diferent... that I amnot one of them," this time his gaze stayed fixed upon the seemingly slumbering red hued dragon.

Slowly the larger dragon raised his head and wordlesly wrapped himself around the smaller one, brushing his head against the blue one's, "I realise; what's on the surface ain't picture perfect, but that don't mean a thing," he stated simply, and thus procedeed to lick the other's cheek.

Such simply words and actions, and yet it brought a smile to the young dragon's face.
