Easter Stone

Roll back the stone.
Don't let darkness swallow you whole.
There is a new light shining.
A brightness to dispel the shadows.
Death on a cross.
Life springs eternal.
Hope and love will never die.
Forever to burn like a flame.
Welcome embrace to shatter sadness.
Feeling of peace forever more.
Don't let the stone keep you back.
Chained by misery.
Break the bonds.
Live again.
Soar free toward the light.
Find eternal peace.
Wrapped in tender mercy.
A new life in the hands of a carpenter.
Pierced forever more.

I had tried to take a few more pics inside the church, mostly of the alter area and, especially, the Risen Christ that now hangs behind the alter. Unfortunately it was too dark for my camera to get a good shot. I tried tinkering with it in PSP8, only to get too much speckle that I couldn't remove it. I hit a wrong button and thought, 'well, if you can't clear it up, why not texturize it?' And so I did. It ended up looking like it had been carved in stone, which fit with Father's homily about the stone in front of the tomb and how we are supposed to roll back our own internal stones and let the peace of Christ fill us all.

From that photoshopped image came this poem.

I don't even celebrate Easter, and that poem touched me. It's really beautiful, dove.

Very, very nice. I'm not even Christian, but I could definitely feel the...how do I say this...religious emotion in it. I like. ^^

(For note, this is teh~ Buru. ^^)
