yeah, for my guild, thingy, on WoW ive decided to make a series of paper-doll sorta things. Just, base images of the 4 horde races, both genders, to which i can add armor, and weapons, and names and stuff. So pow! everyone has their own guild-spesific image of their character.
its more effort then you might think, setting up the photoshop files so as to be totally generic, and have everything able to be changed without it effecting another aspect is tricky. lotsa folders, lotsa layers. The trick is to keep everything organised.
Photoshop tip: name every layer properly! lest confusion and horror occur, when you've got 40+ layers in a file, you need proper names.
anyway, yeah. here's the first character as a trial, my tauren character, overland the warrior cow. omg.

Hehehe that's too cool >_<

Had a thought with regards to these little minions... mayaps we could drive the images via a database? Would be pretty awesome :)
Each peice of armour could be a seperate PNG and we could use a database to create a composite image of someones character. Users could set backgrounds or whatever else too...
In fact it could be quite a popular service really...
Just a thought is all ^^ but yeah probably a lot of work to get all those images whipped up
Looks cool tho, nice idea.
