It Will All Come Crashing Down Eventually

It Will All Come Crashing Down Eventually

we both thought the sun was burning down.
you, looking into the sky with a smiling face.
i wanted to take your hand, but i didn't.
your fragile fascination
was just enough (for hesitation).

it reflected in your eyes -- riveted --
like a fiery bird swooping low,
like our destruction, hovering, still
a passing thought to fold into your palm
for another day (a sunday).

my eyelids drifted down. sunspots danced.
the sweltering heat bloomed around me.
your solitude radiated up. languidly,
you spread your arms like wings.
i strew flowers
(for the funeral).

Worked on this poem for awhile...
I guess you can get whatever you want from it.
I think it's kind of sad, but I think a lot of things are.
drew the picture to (kind of) go with it.

I shouldn't need to put this here, but just in case...
The poem is my property, do not reproduce any part of it without permission.

Yes, this is sad. But I love the visuals it invokes... I could never deal with this style, free form (kind of)... but I love good samples of it, and yours is good, I think!

I especially loved these little additions in brackets... at times, like, in the 3d verse, they change the whole picture.

I love this one. Thanks for telling me to lookit up!!!

I agree with Nikki. I love the images this brings. The brackets, too. All v.lovely. Nice work.
