Ja, black background,I think. Just because the dragon hasn't got a ton of shading. But, your art, is hard to go wrong. :)
I love the way he curls around the tree, it's very well done. I agree that perhaps some of the background could be darker just to make the dragon stand out but it is still very lovely. :)
