My dad's co-worker commissioned me to draw her dog for her, and, here she is.
And, once again, my scanner murdered this.
anyway
The dog's name is Laci apparently, and she's adorable ^^ i had a lot of fun drawing her, tho, it got frustrating sometimes. This took me a while to do too...i put a lot of detail into the main portrait of her. Also, this is done completely in graphite.
Well, dunno what else to say. Not entirely perfect, but not bad either :3
Time: 9-13 hours
Media: Regular pencil, ebony pencil
While listening to: Pink Floyd "Atom Heart Mother" and a mix cd i have recently made (with U2, the beatles, pink floyd, led zeppelin)

Gorgeous work there! I am really enjoying the composition, with instead of just one drawing of the pooches face but three! Thats very interesting and creative! It certainly shows that you took some time on it and yes scanners are notorious for butchering a perfectly good piece! Well done here, I do a lot of animal portrait commissions myself...you can make a living this way..you are not lacking in the talent department :).

OH MY GOD! This is beautiful! The realism to the fur, the texturing, it's amazing! I've always had a huge respect for people who can draw realistic things so well. They must be shelties, aren't they?
