The only two questions are why is Drix so proud of this, and what was he getting a piñata for.
Anyway, Drix/Maria is... oddly cute. But you can't help but wonder what she sees in the world's tidiest cherry flavored cold pill. The cell with the braid is osteoclast Tatiana. The one with the pigtails is glucose, and her name is Renata. Maria, of course, has the ponytail.
And we mustn't forget good ol' Drix there in the background. You can't help but love the poor guy. He's... surprisingly easy to draw. o_O
For the record, Rena's cherries comment refers to the fact that Drix is supposedly cherry flavored, and the fact that all through the movie (and once in the cartoon!), reference is made to the fact that he smells like cherries too.

It's real awesome to find decent Drix and Mario fanart somewhere! I used to be a massive Drix fan back when the TV series was on in 2003, and I did quite a lot of fanart then. At first I made up a marysue character for him, but after a year I made a drawing or two of Drix and Maria being together.

Like I said, this is a decent piece of fanart, and I haven't seen much of Drix... :( I like all their expressions, and the sketch is damn neat
