The Birth Of A New Senshi ~ Chapter 10
Lila walked down the hallways looking for the corridor which would eventually take her to the garden where James was, when she was stopped by someone she had not seen before, it was a girl with her hair up in triangle-shaped odangos with long pink pigtails from beneath that Lila also noticed that on her forehead was a golden crescent moon, Lila smiled “You must be Rini.” Lila held out a hand which Rini shook.
“That’s right! Hey, you’re the new kid right? The one who beat the stuffing out of mama’s senshi?”
Lila nodded, “How did you know?”
“Well, something like that isn’t gonna stay a secret for long, almost everyone in Tokyo has heard about it!” Rini released her grip on Lila’s hand, “By the way, mama asked me to tell you that it’s your first day of school tomorrow and you are to keep a low profile. What ever she means by the ‘low profile’ part, I’m not sure, but she said that you would know what she meant!”
Lila listened to Rini ramble on wondering if all of the girls in Tokyo were like this, happy and bubbly, when she was broken out of her chain of thoughts by Rini’s voice.
“Your school clothes are in your wardrobe!” Rini began to wander off when she was stopped by Lila.
“Do you know where the garden is?” Lila still hadn’t found James and had to find him soon.
Rini gave Lila a long set of instructions then she left Lila to go to the garden. It took Lila a long time to find the garden, but when she did she couldn’t help noticing how serene it was, in a daze, she tripped over something and landed with an “Ooof.”
“Hey, watch it!” A voice came from behind Lila, who tried to stand up.
“Sorry!” Lila exclaimed not knowing who or what she was talking too because her hair hand fallen over her eyes blocking her view of everything.
“Let me help.” A hand shot out and pulled Lila to her feet.
“Thanks.” Lila said moving her hair out of her eyes. Now she could see who she was talking to, it was a girl, a year younger than Lila (12 years old) her hair was a shining black and her eyes were a dazzling green, she was wearing a pair of dark green shorts with long dark green socks and a dark green shirt to match and she had a football next to her. “I’m Lila.” Lila held out her hand as a peace offering for tripping over the girl, who shook it.
“I know very well who you are.” The girl said, “Everyone does.”
Lila stared past the girl noticing James who was standing some 3 feet away from the two girls, he was shaking his head vigourously and mouthing the words ‘She’s pure evil! She almost like a guy.’
“I’m Elie,” The girl said letting go of Lila’s hand and turning around to face James who was mouthing some very rude words, “Elie Kino.”
“Lita’s daughter, right?” Lila asked.
“Yeah, you know what she taught me today?”
Lila shook her head.
“She taught me how to do this.” Elie kicked James into the wall with great force.
“Right, I’ll see you at school tomorrow.” Lila said helping James up and walking with him.
“What was all that about?” Lila asked him shifting an eyebrow.
James shook his head, “It’s history, no worries, I’m single.”
Lila punched him on the arm “Who said I wanted to go out with you, huh?”
James did his best to look offended but did a rubbish job of it. “So,” He said breaking the silence, “Who have you made friends with so far?”
“Well, there was this totally eccentric girl named Rini, and Elie.” Lila answered him.
“So,” James began, “So far you’ve met total freaks.”
Lila nodded, “Yep.”
“No worries,” James smiled, “The girls in Tokyo can be normal too.”
