Gift art for Amarok using a new technique. I first saw this type of thing set out by the street artists in Germany (might have been Austria, but I'm not positive, it was a German-speaking country at least!). They were figures molded onto canvas/board, sprayed black, and then sprayed with, I guessed, was spray paint to give them a spotlight. I found it particularly awesome and eye-catching, especially when they used the metalic paint and the figures were in a rather dynamic pose. Sometimes it was just one figure, sometimes two, but always dancing.

Anyway, about a year and a half later I finally decide to try it out and here's the initial result. The character, Amarok, would be © to .

(Naturally, I have to note with a small disclaimer that the original looks a whole lot better, specifically because the light is metallic and the shadows come out a whole lot starker, curse thee digital camera!)

That is such a cool idea. The white spray paint is a verra nice touch. Reminds me of the spray-paint pictures I saw these guys doing down in mexico. It was so neat.

I'd like to try this technique myself, as others have said, I've never seen it before. Did you use modelign paste to mold the figure?
